Frank Ocean’s coming out letter is as hopeful, tender and sweet as his music is. I love him for his bravery and talent - his music has been a constant for me over the last year or so. I feel like this is huge for hip hop, that we’re starting to break down some of the sadly associated homophobia. Below this post on his Tumblr is another titled “BASEGOD WAS RIGHT” and though Frank Ocean did this on his own, I think we can say “Thank you Based God” for being part of the conversation and for showing his solidarity with the LGBT community.
